Investing in something that can't be destroyed

The recent California wildfires are horrific. So many people losing everything and news reports indicate it may take 10 years for Los Angeles to rebuild. A few months ago, hurricanes ravaged the lives of people in the South. These people, sad to say, are still rebuilding. The truth is the wisest investment we can ever make is in our relationship with Jesus Christ. Wildfires, hurricanes, tornadoes, thunderstorms, disease, sickness, loved ones turning away from us, etc., nothing can take that relationship away from us. It is an eternal relationship, for not even death can interrupt it. Isn't that a comforting thought? As we get older, our ears, eyes, backs, muscles, minds, all begin go decline but our relationship with Jesus Christ never does. It really is the one thing you can count on in life. It has an eternal guarantee in writing. And that guarantee is written in the pages of the Holy Bible.
